Man Arrested for Allegedly Attacking Police Officers in Downtown Phoenix
PHOENIX – A 20-year-old man, identified as Bobby Freeman, is currently in police custody after a violent altercation with officers in downtown Phoenix on Saturday morning.
The incident took place at 1st Street and Fillmore Street around 10 a.m. and resulted in Freeman being apprehended and taken to jail.
Details of the Incident:
According to reports, Freeman was initially spotted by police officers allegedly attempting to stab an unknown individual. Upon being pursued by law enforcement, Freeman attempted to evade capture but was eventually located.
When ordered to surrender, Freeman reportedly refused and instead launched a physical assault on the officers, biting and punching them in the process. One of the victims of the attack was a female officer.
Freeman now faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault on police officers, as stated in an official release.
