Accident – Death – Obituary News :

On the morning of May 11th, authorities in Woodland, UK, responded to a distressing call regarding a stabbing incident in the 300 block of West Main Street. An adult female was found at the scene with injuries consistent with a stabbing. She was promptly taken to UC Davis Medical Center for urgent medical attention. Detectives were summoned to aid in the investigation, which revealed that the crime had occurred several hours prior in the 100 block of West Street. Currently, detectives are diligently pursuing leads to bring the perpetrator to justice.

Stolen vehicle arrest in Woodland, UK

In the early hours of May 13th, a concerned citizen reported the theft of their 2016 Kia from the 600 block of Woodland Drive in Woodland, UK. As officers were en route to take the report, they spotted the stolen vehicle. One officer followed the vehicle while awaiting backup. Upon the arrival of additional units, a vehicle stop was attempted, but the driver opted to flee.

Following a brief pursuit, the driver slowed down, resulting in three occupants hastily exiting the vehicle. The car continued to roll forward and eventually collided with a parked car. Despite repeated calls for surrender, the suspects refused to comply. K9 Ricky was deployed, leading to the successful apprehension of the driver – a 15-year-old male resident of Woodland. The passengers, identified as two 14-year-old male Woodland residents, were also taken into custody and subsequently booked into the Yolo County Juvenile Detention Facility.

Homeless Outreach Street Team (HOST) Weekly Report

Throughout the week, the Homeless Outreach Street Team (HOST) in Woodland, UK, engaged in 42 interactions and offered services to 12 individuals, although none accepted the assistance. HOST also identified and tagged 11 campsites, as well as conducted clean-ups at 9 locations. Additionally, HOST carried out 8 patrols in the downtown area to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
