Accident – Death – Obituary News :

The New York Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the tragic death of Svitlana Indelicato, a talented self-employed accessories designer who sold her unique creations on Etsy and through various social media platforms.

The 50-year-old designer was discovered early Thursday morning at her residence in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, following a distressing 911 call. Upon arrival, officers found Indelicato unconscious and with signs of trauma around her neck. Despite the efforts of Emergency Medical Services, she was pronounced dead at the scene at 1608 86th Street.

The investigation into her death is still ongoing, with no arrests made as of yet, according to a spokesperson from the NYPD.

The cause of death will be determined by the chief medical examiner’s office, although representatives from the office were unavailable for comment on the status of the autopsy at the time of writing.

Known for her intricate felting techniques, Indelicato once shared online, “I use felting that is an ancient textile art, where manipulating wool, warm soapy water, and rolling, squeezing, and rubbing creates a very special one-of-a-kind piece.”

Despite numerous attempts to reach ScarfObsession, the media’s inquiries remained unanswered as of Saturday afternoon.

Indelicato’s brand, VitalTemptation, was known for its free-spirited bohemian leather goods, all proudly made in the U.S. With an impressive 3,734 sales, the label was recognised as a “star seller,” alongside ScarfObsession, which boasted over 15,877 sales. ScarfObsession specialised in scarves, pashminas, luxury hair accessories, and bags, with Indelicato promoting her designs on Instagram with the tagline, “Looking for ways to spruce up your scarf collection?”

In addition to Etsy, Indelicato also showcased her creations on Pinterest and two Facebook pages, where she engaged with her audience through videos of her pashminas and offered styling advice. One such tip included, “When it comes to matching colours with red brick, you can never go wrong by selecting neutral hues such as white, beige, and grey. The use of these hues helps to produce a unified appearance by counteracting the effect of the brick’s inherent warmth. What colour would you pair with brick red?”

According to NYPD data, as of May 12, there had been two reported murders in the 62nd Precinct where Indelicato resided. Last year, there was only one reported case of murder in the same precinct.
