Accident – Death – Obituary News : Lucknow: A horrifying case of coercion and deception has come to light in Lucknow, where a rape survivor was allegedly forced to marry her tormentor and change her religion. The woman, who worked in Bahrain for seven years, met the accused, Saifuddin from Karnataka, during her time there. Saifuddin, along with his former fiancée and family members, are accused of multiple crimes, including harassment for dowry and forcing the victim to convert from Hinduism to Islam.
According to the victim’s complaint, she was raped by Saifuddin in Bahrain, leading her to file a rape complaint. However, she was coerced into withdrawing the complaint when she became pregnant with Saifuddin’s child. The accused also pressured her to change her religion and ultimately forced her into a marriage according to Muslim law. Shockingly, the victim was deceived into visiting Mumbai for a medical consultation, where doctors secretly aborted her five-month-old fetus without her consent.
After the forced abortion, the victim was taken to Saifuddin’s house in Beedar, Karnataka, where she faced further mental and physical torture from Saifuddin’s fiancée, Monika, his elder brother, and other family members. The police have registered a case of dowry-related harassment against the accused, but Saifuddin remains untraceable.
