CHICKASHA, Okla. (KSWO) – New information has emerged in the case against a man accused of a triple murder in Chickasha.
On Thursday, the court approved a request to refuse Jacob Mayhugh’s bond.
Mayhugh is facing three charges of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of James, Patty, and Shayla Mayhugh.
According to court papers, the victims have been identified as Mayhugh’s father, mother, and sister, respectively.
Reports suggest that during an interrogation with law enforcement, Mayhugh admitted to the killings and outlined a plan to eliminate his family before carrying out further violent acts.
Mayhugh’s next court appearance is scheduled for June 26.
