A man has been arrested by Prince William police for brandishing a firearm during a road rage incident in Woodbridge. The incident took place on May 15 at 4:42 PM on Richmond Highway near Celestial Drive.

According to police reports, a 32-year-old woman and her 5-year-old child were traveling in the area when they became involved in a road rage altercation with another driver. The driver, later identified as Edwin Dale Sims, allegedly brandished a firearm at the woman’s vehicle before the two parties separated. Fortunately, no shots were fired during the incident.

Following an investigation, Edwin Dale Sims, 73, of 2676 Cast Off Loop in Woodbridge, was arrested by the police. He has been charged with two counts of brandishing a firearm and is currently awaiting his court date. His bond has been set at $1,000 unsecured.
