Donneisha Briscoe : Pair Arrested for Theft and Car Crash: Charges Filed

GRASONVILLE, Md. – In a dramatic turn of events on Wednesday evening, two individuals were apprehended by authorities on theft and other charges following a high-speed chase in Grasonville, Maryland.

Deputies responded to a call at Walgreens around 5 p.m. reporting a theft incident. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspects returning to the scene. The vehicle then reportedly fled at a high speed, prompting a pursuit by the deputy. The chase culminated as the vehicle drove through the Route 18 drawbridge traffic arm and over the partially open bridge. Subsequently, the vehicle crashed into the Waterman’s Monument at the intersection of Main Street and Kent Narrows Way S. Eyewitnesses informed the police that the suspects fled behind Fisherman’s Inn Restaurant.

The two suspects were identified as 26-year-old Malik Lewis from Hagerstown and 24-year-old Donneisha Briscoe from Bowie. Authorities discovered that the pair was in possession of over $5,000 worth of stolen merchandise.

Charges and Legal Proceedings

Malik Lewis faces charges including conspiracy to commit theft $1500 to under $25,000, conspiracy to commit theft scheme $1500 to $25,000, fourth-degree burglary, theft $100 to under $1500, and theft scheme $100 to under $1500.

Donneisha Briscoe has been charged with conspiracy to commit theft $1500 to under $25,000, conspiracy to commit theft scheme $1500 to $25,000, fourth-degree burglary, theft $100 to under $1500, theft scheme $100 to under $1500, MDOP less than $1000, and 23 traffic-related offenses.
