Two individuals lost their lives while three others sustained injuries in a tragic road accident that occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning in the Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Noida. The incident took place near Sumitra Hospital in Sector 24 when a speeding BMW collided with an e-rickshaw carrying five passengers.
The e-rickshaw was en route from Noida City Centre to sectors 12-22 when it was struck from behind by the BMW, resulting in the passengers being severely injured. The victims were promptly rushed to the hospital for medical attention, where sadly, two of them succumbed to their injuries. The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Mohammad Mustafa and 25-year-old Rashmi, a dedicated staff nurse at Metro Hospital.
Those who sustained injuries in the accident have been named as Rajendra (45), Pawan (27), and Suraj (20). They are currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Noida Sector 110. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Police Investigation and Arrests
Following the tragic incident, the Noida Police swiftly took action by apprehending Tushar, the driver of the BMW, along with his accomplice Adi. However, a third individual identified as Aman Sisodia managed to evade the authorities. All three suspects are residents of Sector 41, under the jurisdiction of the Sector 39 police station.
The law enforcement officials have assured the public that they are actively pursuing the fugitive and are committed to bringing him to justice. The police have launched a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine the exact sequence of events that led to the tragic collision.
