FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) reported a disturbing incident where a woman fell victim to a robbery after visiting a bank in Springfield.

The robbery took place on March 21 at approximately 3:15 p.m. According to FCPD, the victim had withdrawn a substantial amount of $10,000 from a bank located in the 6300 block of Backlick Rd. After completing the transaction, the victim proceeded to a nearby shopping center. Upon returning to their vehicle, they were met with a distressing sight – their car had been damaged, and the money they had withdrawn was nowhere to be found.

Police investigations revealed that security footage captured a group of criminals who had been monitoring the victim’s movements and eventually followed them to the shopping center, where the robbery took place.

Two individuals, namely 43-year-old Pedro Bernal Montoya from New Jersey and 33-year-old Antonio Ramos Acevedo from New York, were identified as being involved in the robbery. Additionally, a woman believed to be using the name Mariana was also implicated as a suspect in the case.
