The Norfolk Police Division in the northeast Nebraska town of Norfolk has reported the arrest of a 57-year-old man, Francisco Sobrino-Diaz, on charges of public indecency. The arrest was made following an incident in which the man allegedly made lewd gestures towards a teenager.
According to the Norfolk Police Division, the incident took place on the afternoon of May 14. A teenager and his father approached the police and reported that while the teenager was walking home from school, he passed by an apartment complex on South 10th Street in Norfolk. The teenager claimed that a man, later identified as Sobrino-Diaz, was outside with his dog. Upon seeing the teenager, the man reportedly placed his dog inside the apartment and then approached the teenager, exposing himself.
After receiving the report, the police identified the man as Sobrino-Diaz and proceeded to the apartment complex. Following a discussion with Sobrino-Diaz about the incident, the police took him into custody. Subsequently, he was held in the Norfolk City Jail before being transferred to the Madison County Jail.
