MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile man, identified as 24-year-old Vincent Parnell Sandifer, was apprehended by the Mobile Police Department after a dramatic chase that involved hitting a patrol car and breaking into more than 30 vehicles.

The Mobile Police Department released a statement detailing the events that led to Sandifer’s arrest. The incident unfolded when officers were investigating multiple car burglaries in the West Mobile area. They identified a vehicle suspected to be linked to the burglaries and attempted to stop it.

However, Sandifer, the driver of the vehicle, refused to comply with the police’s instructions and ended up colliding with an MPD patrol car and three other vehicles during the pursuit. The chase came to an end when Sandifer crashed the car at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Highway 90.

One individual sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Investigations following Sandifer’s apprehension revealed his involvement in over 30 car burglaries spanning several months.

Following his arrest, Sandifer was taken to Mobile Metro Jail and charged with several offenses, including unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, possession of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance.
