Accident – Death – Obituary News : Greenville County, South Carolina law enforcement officials have provided new details regarding a series of robberies that took place at local Walmart stores, shedding light on the man believed to be responsible for the crime spree. Reports from authorities in three different counties have confirmed that the same individual is linked to three separate robberies.
Deputy Jeremy Holt of the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office disclosed that one of the incidents occurred at approximately 9 a.m. at the Walmart situated on White Horse Road. A deputy from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, who was on an off-duty assignment at the store, was alerted to the situation when a man, later identified as 22-year-old Kylique Zyquan Lionel Alston, handed a note to a cashier demanding money. Upon spotting the deputy, Alston swiftly exited the Walmart, entered a vehicle, and fled the scene. When law enforcement attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Alston, he evaded capture and attempted to escape on foot.
Fortunately, Alston left the store without obtaining any money, and no weapons were brandished during the incident, resulting in no reported injuries. Subsequent investigations by Greenville County authorities revealed that Alston was also involved in similar crimes at Walmart stores in Simpsonville and Laurens County. Collaborating with the Simpsonville Police Department and the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, GCSO investigators successfully identified Alston as the prime suspect in all three robberies.
Following a joint effort by law enforcement agencies, Alston was apprehended by deputies from the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office. In Greenville County, Alston is facing charges of failure to comply with blue lights and robbery. Presently, he is being detained at the Laurens County Detention Center in connection with the charges filed against him in that jurisdiction. The swift and coordinated actions of the various law enforcement agencies involved have led to the arrest of the individual believed to be responsible for the string of Walmart robberies in the region..
