Initial reports indicate that the collision took place when a vehicle driven by 70-year-old Paula J. Trappe of West Carrollton was turning onto Martins Drive from southbound SR-741. At that moment, Rainer, who was riding a motorcycle, collided with Trappe’s vehicle, resulting in the fatal outcome.
Following the crash, Rainer was rushed to Kettering Health Main Campus for emergency medical care, but tragically, he was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
