In a shocking turn of events, a 60-year-old woman has been apprehended and charged with murder following the discovery of a deceased individual in McDowell County, West Virginia.
Discovery of the Body
The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the presence of a man’s lifeless body in the Big Sandy region of McDowell County on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 6 PM. Upon arrival at the scene, a deputy immediately sensed that the circumstances surrounding the death were suspicious and requested additional support.
After conducting a thorough investigation, authorities were able to identify the victim as 70-year-old Patsy Campinella.
Arrest and Charges
Following their investigation, law enforcement officials arrested a 60-year-old woman by the name of Robin Crawford. Crawford has been formally charged with murder in connection with the case. She was presented in a McDowell County courtroom for arraignment, where it was determined that no bond would be set for her release.
