The Pennsylvania State Police have announced a significant development in an attempted homicide case that occurred earlier this month in Venango County. The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Anthony Martinez Young from Pleasantville, Pa., has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.

According to reports, the incident took place on May 1 along Shamburg Road in Oil Creek Township, Venango County. Young allegedly shot at a Pennsylvania man during the altercation.

A witness at the scene reported seeing a gold, four-door 2007 Ford Fusion with tinted windows drive up the road. The driver, later identified as Young, engaged in a verbal altercation with one of the neighbours before approaching the victim with a gun. Young fired three shots at the victim before fleeing the scene in the vehicle towards State Route 227. Fortunately, all shots missed the intended target.

Following the incident, the PSP Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) Fugitive Apprehension Unit, along with members of the United States Marshals Service (USMS), launched an extensive investigation to apprehend Young.

After receiving new information, USMS and the Virginia State Police collaborated to track down and arrest Young in Vinton, Virginia, around 1 p.m. on May 13. Young is currently being held at the Roanoke City Jail in Virginia pending extradition to Pennsylvania.

At this time, no further details about the case have been released by the authorities. The investigation into the attempted homicide continues as law enforcement works to gather more evidence and information.
