On the morning of Friday, May 10, Oswego County Sheriff’s Department received a distress call regarding an ATV accident on the county trail near the intersection of Co. Rt, 30 and Kasoag Lake Drive in the Town of Williamstown.

The incident involved a 2018 Polaris RZR 900 ATV that was travelling northbound on the county trail when it unfortunately rolled over. Both the driver and a passenger were ejected from the vehicle.

Identification of the Individuals

The passenger, identified as 20-year-old Brent Clark from Camden, N.Y., sustained only minor injuries in the accident. However, the operator of the ATV, Brent’s father, Travis Clark, aged 41 and also from Camden, tragically lost his life at the scene.

Response and Assistance

Upon arrival at the scene, the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office was joined by the Northern Oswego County Ambulance and the Williamstown Volunteer Fire Department to provide assistance and support. The collaborative efforts of these emergency response teams were instrumental in managing the situation and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of those involved.
