On Friday, May 10th, 2024, at approximately 7:40 PM, a devastating ATV accident occurred on the county trail near the intersection of Co Rt 30 and Kasoag Lake Drive in the Town of Williamstown, Oswego County.

The incident involved a 2018 Polaris RZR 900 ATV that was travelling northbound on the county trail when it tragically rolled over, resulting in the ejection of both the passenger and operator.

Details of the Incident

The passenger involved in the accident has been identified as 20-year-old Brent Clark hailing from Camden, NY. Fortunately, Brent sustained only minor injuries in the accident.

Tragically, the operator of the ATV was identified as Brent’s father, Travis Clark, aged 41, also from Camden, NY. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Travis was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Assistance and Response

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office promptly responded to the scene of the accident and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident. Assistance was provided by the Northern Oswego County Ambulance service and the Williamstown Volunteer Fire Department.
