Among those arrested is Terrance Britt, a 33-year-old individual with a criminal record that includes 13 prior convictions. Britt is facing a minimum of 15 years behind bars for charges that include trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

The second suspect, identified as 27-year-old Phillip Salley, was taken into custody for possession of cocaine and paraphernalia. The arrests were made following a coordinated effort by the Special Investigations Unit, in collaboration with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Cocoa Police, Rockledge Police, and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office SWAT teams. The operation involved executing search warrants at three residences on Lynell Lane, marking the culmination of an extensive investigation into suspected drug trafficking activities.

Authorities received information suggesting that significant quantities of drugs were being distributed from these locations. During the search, law enforcement officers discovered approximately 2.5 pounds of crack cocaine with an estimated street value of nearly $100,000, along with large bags of marijuana, over $3,000 in cash, and two firearms.

Cocoa Police Chief Evander Collier IV emphasized the importance of removing violent offenders from the community to ensure the safety and well-being of residents. These arrests will have a positive effect on the quality of life in the neighbourhood where residents can feel safe again.”

Agents are currently collaborating with the State’s Attorney’s Office to facilitate successful prosecution and prevent the suspects from re-entering the community. The arrests are expected to contribute to a reduction in drug-related activities and enhance the overall security of the neighbourhood.

This recent operation underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to combat illegal drug trafficking and uphold public safety in Cocoa and the surrounding areas. Authorities are urging residents to report any suspicious activities or concerns to ensure a safer community for all.
