BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green resident is facing serious charges of manslaughter and drug trafficking following a tragic incident involving the ingestion of dangerous substances leading to the death of one individual and the critical condition of another.

On Sunday, April 28, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to an overdose investigation on Apple Valley Road. Tragically, they discovered the lifeless body of 18-year-old Vayden Forbes and a 17-year-old female juvenile in critical condition. The juvenile was rushed to The Medical Center at Bowling Green before being transferred to Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville.

According to a uniform citation, the victims and a third witness had ingested M30 fentanyl tablets. It was revealed that James Good, a 22-year-old resident of Bowling Green, had sold 20 M30 fentanyl tablets to the group for $240. Deputies found Good walking barefoot with a shirt around his face and promptly took him into custody.

Good claimed that the victims had died from Hydrocodone, but further investigation led to his arrest on charges of second-degree manslaughter and trafficking in controlled substances, specifically carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives. He was arrested and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail without incident.

This incident serves as a tragic reminder of the dangers of illicit drug trafficking and the devastating consequences it can have on individuals and communities. The authorities are actively working to ensure justice is served in this case.
