Abraham Montiel : “Drug Bust: 21-Year-Old Man, 69-Year-Old Woman Arrested in Rabun County”

RABUN COUNTY, Ga. – Authorities in Rabun County, Georgia, apprehended a 21-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman last Thursday for possession of illegal substances.

The recent incident unfolded when officers from the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office conducted a routine traffic stop on a 2020 black Honda Civic travelling along GA 15/US 441 near River Falls Campground at approximately 4 p.m.

During the stop, one of the deputies engaged in conversation with the driver, identified as Abraham Montiel, while his colleague noticed the female passenger, Deborah Sir, exhibiting unusual behaviour in the vehicle.

Upon conducting a search of the car, law enforcement officers discovered multiple small bags containing a significant quantity of cocaine, weighing approximately 1 pound and 3 ounces, as detailed in the official statement.

Subsequently, Montiel and Sir were placed under arrest and charged with the crime of cocaine trafficking before being taken into custody at the Rabun County Detention Center for processing.
