PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A 46-year-old man has been arrested following the tragic shooting and death of a woman in Palm Beach County. The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. in the 3300 block of Artesian Drive.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a domestic dispute that was unfolding at the location. Upon their arrival, they discovered that a woman had been shot.
Investigators revealed that two brave neighbours managed to disarm the suspected gunman, identified as Yves Antoine, before law enforcement officials arrived on the scene.
Deputies immediately began administering life-saving measures to the injured woman until Palm Beach County Fire Rescue personnel arrived. Despite their efforts, the victim succumbed to her injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital.
Yves Antoine has since been taken into custody and is being held at the main Palm Beach County jail on a charge of first-degree murder. Online jail records indicate that he is currently being held without bond.
At this time, the identity of the deceased victim has not been disclosed by authorities.
