Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Renowned actor Steve Buscemi fell victim to a violent assault while taking a stroll in the Kips Bay area of New York City, as confirmed by his representative.

The star of the hit TV series “Boardwalk Empire” was reportedly punched in the face by an unidentified individual. His publicist shared with USA TODAY that Buscemi was assaulted in midtown Manhattan, describing it as a random act of violence in the city.

The representative reassured fans that Buscemi is doing well and appreciates the outpouring of support. However, the incident has left him saddened by the occurrence of such violence while simply walking the streets of New York.

Following the attack, the assailant fled the scene, evading capture by authorities. Reports indicate that Buscemi was taken to the hospital for treatment of swelling to his face and left eye.

Efforts to reach the New York City Police Department for further comment on the incident are ongoing.

Co-star Michael Stuhlbarg Also Targeted in NYC

Adding to the distressing news, Michael Stuhlbarg, who shared the screen with Buscemi on “Boardwalk Empire,” reportedly faced a similar fate in New York City earlier in March.

On March 31, police responded to an assault near 90th Street and East Drive, where a 55-year-old man, later identified as Stuhlbarg, was struck in the head by an unknown object. The incident resulted in Stuhlbarg sustaining an abrasion.

Authorities revealed that a 27-year-old man, Xavier Israel, hurled a rock at Stuhlbarg, causing the injury. The attacker was subsequently apprehended by officers, with Stuhlbarg declining medical attention at the scene. Israel was charged with assault.

Despite the traumatic experience, Stuhlbarg showed resilience by taking to the Broadway stage the next day to fulfill his performance in the show “Patriots.”
