A suspect has been apprehended in connection with the brutal killing of a 64-year-old man in Southeast Houston last week. Houston Police Department officials have identified the suspect as Karon Fisher, a 20-year-old individual believed to be responsible for the heinous crime.
Security footage obtained from a neighbouring property near the crime scene captured the tragic events as they unfolded. The footage shows the victim, Steven Anderson, walking along Woodridge Square Drive to collect his mail when a white Dodge Charger suddenly accelerates towards him. Anderson manages to dodge the vehicle initially, but the driver continues to pursue him, ultimately running him over and then reversing over him.
Following the incident, witnesses can be seen contacting emergency services as Fisher, the alleged perpetrator, is shown flipping Anderson over, straddling him, and kissing him while he lies motionless on the ground. Fisher then proceeds to wield a knife and viciously stab the victim multiple times.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered Anderson unresponsive with several stab wounds. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fisher, who is listed as male in Department of Public Safety records but is referred to with she/her pronouns in the police report, was swiftly apprehended and questioned by investigators. Subsequently, she was formally charged with murder and remanded to Harris County Jail, where she is currently being held on a bond of $2 million.
