Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A 57-year-old man from Andover tragically lost his life in the early hours of Sunday morning following a collision with a deer while riding his motorcycle in Aitkin County. The incident, which occurred on Highway 200 near milepost 183, resulted in the death of James Alton Childrey.

According to the State Patrol’s incident report, the accident took place shortly after midnight. Mr. Childrey was travelling westbound on his motorcycle when he struck the deer, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.

Emergency services were called to the scene, but unfortunately, Mr. Childrey succumbed to his injuries. The authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Deer-related accidents are not uncommon on Minnesota roads, particularly during the autumn months when deer are more active. Drivers are advised to exercise caution, especially in rural areas where wildlife crossings are more prevalent.
