Waterbury authorities are currently conducting an investigation following a tragic incident where a male pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle on Saturday morning.
The Waterbury Police Department received a distressing call at approximately 10:09 a.m. reporting a pedestrian being struck by a motor vehicle at 836 East Main St. Upon arrival, officers discovered the adult male pedestrian had succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver involved in the collision remained present and fortunately did not sustain any injuries.
The Waterbury Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit has taken over the investigation into this unfortunate accident. Officials are urging anyone with information pertaining to the incident to come forward and contact the CRU at 203-346-3975.
