Accident – Death – Obituary News : The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office has issued a press release regarding a recent incident involving threats of violence at Grace Hudson Elementary School in Ukiah, CA. On the morning of May 10, 2024, the Sheriff’s Office received a report from a concerned parent in Ukiah who had seen social media posts indicating a potential violent attack at the school. The Sheriff’s Office immediately responded to the threat, coordinating with school administrators and law enforcement to ensure the safety of the students and staff.

Following an investigation, Sheriff’s Detectives were able to identify a male juvenile student from Pomolita Middle School as the individual responsible for the threatening posts on social media. The juvenile was arrested for Criminal Threats under section 422(a) of the California Penal Code and taken to the Mendocino County Juvenile Hall for booking. Further investigation included interviews with the juvenile’s parents and a search of their residence for any firearms or weapons.

The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office emphasises the seriousness with which they treat threats to schools, regardless of the intent behind them. The incident at Grace Hudson Elementary School caused significant fear and concern among parents, students, and staff, highlighting the importance of swift and thorough investigations into such matters.
