Nazim : “Delhi prisoner released on parole shot dead in Jafrabad – India TV”

Delhi crime: A 34-year-old convict, who had been granted parole, was fatally shot by three unidentified attackers in the Jafrabad area of east Delhi on Friday (May 10), according to police reports. The victim, identified as Nazim, resided in Chauhan Nagar, Jafrabad.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Northeast Delhi, Joy Tirkey, confirmed that the police were alerted to the incident via a call to the control room at 7:30 pm. Subsequently, a police team promptly arrived at the scene.

Multiple stab wounds:

“Nazim sustained multiple gunshot wounds from at least three assailants and succumbed to his injuries on the scene,” stated Tirkey. The deceased had a history of four criminal cases, including charges of murder, robbery, and violations of the NDPS Act in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

Nazim had been serving a sentence for a robbery conviction and had been released on parole approximately a month prior to the incident.

“The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and the Crime and Forensic Science Laboratory teams are currently at the scene,” added the DCP. He further mentioned that the police are reviewing CCTV footage in the vicinity to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
