Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A Paducah man was taken into custody by police officers after being caught robbing a local convenience store at gunpoint and attempting to flee the scene.

The series of robberies at the convenience store in question began on May 6, prompting Paducah Police Detectives to launch an investigation. Over the course of three days, between May 6 and May 9, a black male suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Bryce Woodson, entered the store on multiple occasions. Each time, he brandished a firearm at the store clerk, demanded money, and escaped before law enforcement could arrive.

Through thorough investigative work, detectives were able to ascertain the vehicle used by Woodson during the robberies. On May 10, while continuing their surveillance, detectives spotted Woodson’s vehicle in the vicinity of the store and observed him entering the premises.

Upon approaching the store, detectives witnessed Woodson once again threatening the clerk with a firearm in exchange for money. When confronted by the police, Woodson attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended shortly thereafter.

Woodson now faces charges of first-degree robbery and second-degree fleeing and evading police. He has been remanded to the McCracken County Jail pending further legal proceedings.

The Paducah Police Department received assistance from the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department and the Kentucky State Police in bringing Woodson to justice.
