Three individuals have been arrested in connection to the shooting death of 41-year-old Vitaliy Zaystev, who was found dead with a gunshot wound to his head in the driveway of his home in Fair Oaks, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred last Friday on Hillridge Way in Fair Oaks around 11 p.m. The sheriff’s office stated that Zaystev was seated inside his vehicle when the suspects arrived in a separate vehicle. One of the suspects then exited their vehicle and fired three rounds, fatally striking the victim.
Identification and Arrests
Sacramento County detectives were able to identify two suspects, Michael Espinosa and Migues Esquibel, who were believed to have planned and carried out the murder. The suspects were located in Idaho with the assistance of the Boise FBI and two other Idaho agencies. Both Espinosa and Esquibel were arrested in Idaho on May 6 for parole violations and will be extradited to Sacramento County.
A third suspect, Jeannette Nunes, who detectives believe was in a relationship with the victim, was also identified. Nunes was arrested on Thursday in San Jose before being booked in the Sacramento County Jail for murder and conspiracy. She is currently ineligible for bail and will appear in court on Monday to face the charges.
