On May 7th, a routine traffic stop took place on US Highway 61 in the Township of Marietta. The driver, identified as 43-year-old Geramia Swadley from Soldiers Grove, was accompanied by passengers 28-year-old Jourdan Womack and 21-year-old Corben Eck from Platteville.
During the stop, a Grant County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit was deployed and indicated the presence of controlled substances in the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed methamphetamine. Additionally, Womack was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.
Charges and Arrests
Swadley was arrested on charges including operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a restricted controlled substance (4th Offence), operating a motor vehicle while revoked, and two counts of felony bail jumping. Womack was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Eck was arrested based on an active warrant.
