Accident – Death – Obituary News : Winona, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities have now identified the individual responsible for the overturned semi-truck that has led to the closure of a section of a highway in southeast Minnesota. The incident took place around 9 a.m. in Winona County, with the truck being the sole vehicle involved in the crash.

The stretch of Highway 14 between Winona and Stockton remains shut down as a result of the accident. According to the state crash report, the truck was traveling west on the highway when it tipped over onto its side, landing in the ditch on the south side.

The driver has been identified as 23-year-old Jordan Patrick Kleist from Houston, MN. Following the crash, Kleist was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries that have been deemed non-life-threatening.

It has not been confirmed whether Kleist was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident, but alcohol is believed not to have played a role in the accident, as per the report.

Traffic on Highway 14 between Stockton and Winona has been diverted while the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) works to clear the area. MnDOT has tentatively set a reopening time of 2 p.m. for the highway.
