Authorities have named the suspect wanted for the shooting and killing of a Houston attorney at a McDonald’s as Anthony Martin Landry. The incident, which occurred on May 4, resulted in the death of 46-year-old Jeffrey Limmer.

Landry, 57, has been charged with murder by the Houston Police Department after allegedly shooting Limmer at the fast-food restaurant. Police are currently searching for Landry, who reportedly fled the scene in a blue pickup truck.

According to reports from KTRK, Limmer was attempting to calm down Landry, who was agitated with McDonald’s employees, before the altercation turned deadly. Police stated that Limmer pushed Landry to the ground outside the restaurant, prompting Landry to retrieve a gun from his car and shoot the attorney.

Limmer’s sister, Jennifer Thomas, described her brother as someone who loved fiercely and always brought laughter and joy to those around him. She expressed pride in her brother for standing up for the McDonald’s workers and acting as a good Samaritan in the situation.

Jeffrey Limmer was a respected attorney at Lewis Brisbois’ Houston office. He had studied at the University of Texas at Austin before pursuing his law degree at South Texas College of Law.
