Seth Estabrooks : “Park Dog Attack: Transient Bites Woman”

A man in Fort Collins, Colorado, was thwarted in his attempt to sexually assault a woman at a local park when he was bitten on the face by a dog. The incident took place at Lee Martinez Park, where the woman managed to fight off her attacker with the help of the canine companion.

The Fort Collins Police Services received a distress call from the woman, who was heard crying and pleading for the male to stop his assault. Dispatchers were able to locate her using her phone’s GPS signal and sent officers to the park immediately.

Upon arrival, the woman pointed out the man who had assaulted her, identified as 39-year-old Seth Estabrooks. According to the victim, she had been able to fend off the attacker for 20 minutes before the dog intervened and bit him on the face.

Estabrooks was promptly arrested and charged with second-degree assault by strangulation, unlawful sexual contact with force or threat, and false imprisonment by force. Police confirmed that the victim had no prior relationship with the assailant, who was described as a transient from Boulder.

Following the incident, the woman received medical attention, while Estabrooks was treated for the dog bites at a local hospital. A Patrol Crime Scene Investigator processed the suspect during his hospital stay.
