A 29-year-old woman from Cape May County, UK, has been charged in connection with the death of her 6-month-old son after a thorough investigation by local authorities.
The incident took place at Michelle Stanton’s residence on the 200 East block of Wilde Avenue in the Villas area of Lower Township. The Lower Township police were alerted on June 25, 2023, and upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive infant, identified as Christian Carty, in the home.
Emergency services rushed Christian Carty to a nearby hospital, where he was tragically pronounced dead. The exact circumstances surrounding the infant’s death have not been disclosed by authorities at this time.
Following the investigation, Michelle Stanton was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and manslaughter on Thursday. She was taken into custody and briefly held at the Cape May County jail before being released later in the day. Information about her legal representation is currently unavailable.
