COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A teenager wanted in connection with a murder in North Carolina was discovered hiding in a residence in Cobb County, Georgia, according to authorities.
The incident unfolded on April 15 when police in Greenville, N.C. responded to a call in the vicinity of West 3rd Street and White Street. Upon arrival, officers found Jahsijah Montejah Jahson, 24, with a gunshot wound in the yard of a home on W. 3rd Street. Unfortunately, Jahson succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Suspects Connected to the Homicide
Following the tragic incident, law enforcement officials in Greeneville began a search for individuals linked to the murder. Two days later, Zy’quan Malik Johnson, a resident of Walstonburg, was apprehended in Rocky Mount for his alleged involvement in the crime.
Subsequently, detectives identified a second suspect as Jah’Quore Connor, aged 19 and hailing from Farmville. In the early hours of Wednesday morning, with the collaborative efforts of North Carolina authorities, Marietta police, and Cobb County police, Connor was located and taken into custody.
Authorities revealed that Connor had barricaded himself inside a residence in Marietta, leading to a standoff before his arrest. Further details surrounding the incident were not disclosed to the public.
