Namita had gone to the Khinmung bathing ghat of the Machkund river with three of her friends around noon to take a bath. Unfortunately, Namita slipped and fell into the river, where she began to struggle in the deep waters. Despite her friends’ attempts to rescue her, they were unsuccessful.
