Bernard Junior Polite, 26, was arrested after his attempt to shoot Rev. Glenn Germany was thwarted by a church deacon. Following Polite’s arrest, the body of a 56-year-old man, identified as Derek Polite, was discovered shot dead in the suspect’s home. Law enforcement officials have charged Polite with homicide in connection with his cousin’s death.
