According to the St. Louis County Police Department, authorities responded to reports of a shooting in Midland, located approximately 18 miles west of St. Louis, early Sunday morning. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered two individuals, later identified as siblings Marc Rhodes, 19, and Lanija Cooper, 20, suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, both victims succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the incident revealed that Harris, who had previously been romantically involved with Cooper, suspected her of vandalizing his new girlfriend’s car the previous evening.
