The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is currently investigating the tragic shooting incident that resulted in the untimely death of a toddler on the 3rd of May in the 2300 block of Hartford Street, SE.

Upon responding to reports of gunfire in the area, MPD officers discovered a three-year-old girl with a gunshot wound at a nearby fire station located on the 2400 block of Irving Street, SE. Despite immediate medical attention and efforts to save her life, the young victim, identified as Ty’ah Settles, succumbed to her injuries after being airlifted to a hospital by Park Police.

As part of their ongoing investigation, MPD is offering a reward for any information that could lead to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this tragic homicide in the District.
