– Tragic accident on Florida Turnpike involving Orlando man.
Accident – Death – Obituary News : An unfortunate incident occurred on the Florida Turnpike late Monday evening, resulting in the tragic death of a man from Orlando. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the single-vehicle crash took place around 11:45 p.m. in the southbound lanes on the State Road 429 off-ramp near Gotha.
The driver of a 2024 Ford Mustang lost control of the vehicle, veering off the left side of the roadway and colliding with a sign, as per FHP reports. The Mustang then continued into the median area, striking several trees and overturning multiple times before catching fire.
Regrettably, the driver, a 34-year-old man from Orlando, and a 38-year-old male passenger in the front seat were both ejected from the car while it was in motion. Shockingly, none of the occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
Emergency services rushed the driver and a 24-year-old female occupant from the rear passenger seat, also from Orlando, to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. Tragically, the front passenger, taken to AdventHealth in Winter Garden, was pronounced dead.
The Florida Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine the root cause. Our thoughts go out to the families and friends of those involved in this devastating incident.
