The Maryland State Police were alerted to the situation just before 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, prompting a response from the Fruitland Police Department and emergency medical services. Upon arrival at the residence on the 200 block of Sand Castle Boulevard, authorities found an unconscious woman in the bathtub. Despite efforts to revive her, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
