Box Elder County deputies and a search and rescue team responded to the scene to recover the remains, which were later identified as those of Matthew Broncho, who went missing in 2019. His pickup truck was found abandoned on Exit 7 of I-84 in Snowville, with his personal belongings still inside. Despite an extensive search effort, including the discovery of his dog wandering a few kilometers from Snowville, Mr. Broncho remained missing.
