ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Castle Point resident is set to face trial next month in St. Louis County District Court for the alleged theft of multiple iPhones nearly a year and a half ago.

According to a probable cause affidavit from the Bridgeton Police Department, the incident took place on September 15, 2022, at the Spectrum store located on St. Charles Rock Road.

An employee reported to the authorities that seven iPhones were stolen from the store’s kiosk. Surveillance footage revealed that a man, identified as Donntay D. Wallace, allegedly stole a key to the kiosk from an employee the day before the theft. The footage also showed Wallace returning the following day, opening the kiosk, and taking the phones.

Wallace was subsequently apprehended in an unrelated case, where it was discovered that he was in possession of one of the stolen iPhones.

The St. Louis County Attorney’s Office has formally charged Wallace with the theft of property valued at $750 or more. A judge has issued a summons for Wallace to appear in court on June 4.

This case serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilant surveillance and security measures for businesses to protect their assets, especially in high-traffic areas.
