Thirteen days later, on February 17, another inmate, a 57-year-old man housed at the Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas, was discovered deceased in an open barrack unit. He was pronounced dead shortly after being found. This man, whose identity has not been disclosed to the public, had been arrested on December 14 on suspicion of multiple counts of burglary and grand theft.
