The owners of the luggage, identified as Marquiose Motley, 34, and Dalonta Jackson, 27, were apprehended as they waited to board a flight to Washington D.C.
Upon arrival, K9 Havoc alerted her handler to three pieces of luggage belonging to Motley and Jackson. After obtaining permission to search the bags, law enforcement officers discovered multiple bundles of vacuum-sealed bags containing a total of 45 pounds of marijuana in Motley’s luggage. Jackson’s bags yielded an additional 23 pounds of marijuana in vacuum-sealed bags.
Both Motley and Jackson were promptly arrested by airport police and handed over to the Metro Nashville Police Department. They now face charges of drug possession with the intent to distribute.
