Accident – Death – Obituary News : A local pastor, identified as David Helbling, 79, was recently arrested in Riverside County for the alleged sexual assault of a child. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the arrest, which stemmed from reports of a previous child sex assault on the 23000 block of Hemlock Avenue in Moreno Valley.
Upon investigation, authorities discovered that the juvenile victim had allegedly been assaulted by Helbling. The victim’s age and gender were not disclosed. Subsequently, on Feb. 14, deputies conducted a search of the Moreno Valley property where evidence related to the assault was collected.
Helbling now faces multiple felony charges in connection to the crimes against the juvenile victim and is currently being held on a $2 million bail.
