A man in Mansfield, CT is facing a felony charge after allegedly taking a car from an impound lot without paying. The incident occurred at T&B Motors on Storrs Road, where the man, identified as a 20-year-old from Wallingford, took a Honda Accord without settling his tab.

State troopers were alerted to the situation and quickly responded to the scene. The man drove off with the vehicle, but was later tracked down at a nearby Domino’s Pizza location.

Upon apprehension, the man was charged with third- and sixth-degree larceny, as well as second-degree criminal trespass. Third-degree larceny is considered a felony offence. The man posted a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on February 27, as stated in the arrest report.
