GRANT COUNTY, Minn. (FOX 9) –
A tragic incident unfolded over the weekend in western Minnesota as authorities responded to a fatal shooting involving two brothers.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a distressing call around 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, reporting an altercation between two siblings that resulted in one brother fatally shooting the other.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement discovered the lifeless body of 33-year-old Stephen Grytdahl, who succumbed to the gunshot wounds inflicted by his 30-year-old brother.
The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was promptly taken into custody by authorities but has not yet been formally charged as of Tuesday morning.
While specific details surrounding the shooting remain undisclosed, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office has enlisted the assistance of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to thoroughly investigate the tragic incident.
