HOUSTON – A 44-year-old mother, Jacqueline Dargin, is facing child endangerment charges following an incident on Sunday evening in Harris County.
Dargin was arrested after Harris County authorities responded to a welfare check at the 6100 block of Oak Crest Drive. Concerned citizens reported seeing a 6-year-old child wandering the neighborhood unsupervised for several hours.
Officials discovered that Dargin, the child’s parental guardian, had multiple open misdemeanor warrants. She was subsequently taken into custody and charged with the outstanding warrants as well as child abandonment.
Dargin was transported to the Harris County Jail, however, her bond information has not been made public by authorities at this time.
