In a shocking incident in Bradley, a 26-year-old man has been taken into custody by the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office after allegedly attacking another man with a machete on Saturday night.

Stabbing Incident on Chadwick Drive

According to reports, deputies responded to a call about a stabbing at the 7000 block of Chadwick Drive at approximately 9 p.m. Upon arrival, they found a man with multiple injuries who was quickly rushed to a local hospital where he remains in serious condition.

Altercation Between Former Roommates

Investigators revealed that the suspect, identified as Raul Galvez, and the victim were previously roommates and knew each other. A verbal altercation escalated into a physical confrontation, during which Galvez allegedly used a knife to stab the victim.

Furthermore, Galvez then brandished a machete and proceeded to stab the victim multiple times, causing severe injuries.

Arrest and False Information

While still at the crime scene, deputies received another call reporting a male adult in need of medical assistance in a nearby neighbourhood. Witnesses identified the caller as Raul Galvez, who initially provided false information about his identity.

It was later discovered that Galvez had three outstanding warrants in San Luis Obispo County and Monterey County. Following his arrest, he was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the altercation.

Attempted Murder Charges

Once released from the hospital, Galvez was transferred to the Monterey County Jail to face charges of attempted murder, in addition to the three active arrest warrants against him. His bail has been set at $1 million.
